Special Needs at The Haycock
The Haycock Hotel has invested in providing dignified access within the property through plans that are consistent with its special architectural and historic character. Our strategic approach aims to help meet the requirements of people with sensory and other disabilities, including arthritis, poor vision and hearing. We aim to provide easy access for elderly people, parents with small children and those suffering from temporary illness or injury. Our staff are trained to assist with care and consideration in matters of guest well-being and health and safety.
There are 48 bedrooms; one is designated accessible although there are fourteen ground floor rooms in total. On approaching the building from the front there is a dropped kerb and one step into the main entrance. A ramp can be provided for access by wheelchair users if required or unobstructed access can be gained from the rear car park which is clearly sign-posted.
Service dogs are most welcome. We have an induction loop and accessible toilets as well as access for wheelchair users and persons with walking difficulties.
